Terms and Conditions for LoftLogicSolutions Loft Boarding Services
These Terms and Conditions set forth the legally binding terms for the provision of loft boarding services by LoftLogicSolutions. By using our services, you Customer, agree to comply with and be bound by the terms set forth below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Services Provided
LoftLogicSolutions specializes in loft boarding, loft insulation, and other related loft improvement services (collectively referred to as "Services"). Our services may include, but are not limited to:
Loft Boarding
Loft Insulation
Loft Ladder Installation
Loft Lighting
Loft Hatch Enlargement / New hatches
Other services
2. Quotations and Pricing
Free Quotations: We offer free, no-obligation quotations for all loft boarding services. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
Pricing: Prices will be provided based on the specific dimensions, layout, and requirements of your loft space. Prices are subject to change if there is any alteration in the scope of work.
Additional Costs: Any additional work requested that was not included in the original quotation may result in extra charges. These will be agreed upon in advance with the Customer.
3. Booking and Deposits
Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only once a deposit is received and a written confirmation is issued by the Company.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of around 10]% is required to secure a booking. This deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.
Cancellation: If the Customer cancels the job with less than 7 days' notice, the deposit will not be refunded.
4. Payment Terms
Payment Schedule: The Customer agrees to pay 50% of the total cost upon commencement of the work, and the remaining balance upon completion. Payment is due immediately upon completion unless other payment arrangements have been made in writing.
5. Workmanship Guarantee
We offer a lifetime warenty guarantee on all workmanship related to loft boarding installations. This guarantee covers any issues related to the quality of work performed by LoftLogicSolutions. However, the guarantee does not cover the following:
Natural wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by external factors.
Modifications or repairs made by third parties.
Pre-existing issues with the property that affect the loft space or structure.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Access to Property: The Customer must ensure that LoftLogicSolutions has clear and unrestricted access to the property on the agreed work dates. The loft area should be cleared of personal items prior to the commencement of work.
Electricity and Water: The Customer is responsible for providing access to electricity as needed for the duration of the project.
Permits and Approvals: The Customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, approvals, or building permits for loft modifications, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Safety and Structural Integrity
Structural Responsibility: LoftLogicSolutions will perform a basic structural assessment of the loft, but it is the Customer’s responsibility to obtain any formal structural survey or engineer’s report if needed.
Health and Safety: LoftLogicSolutions complies with all applicable health and safety regulations. However, the Customer agrees to ensure a safe working environment and notify us of any potential hazards in advance.
8. Materials and Equipment
Materials: All materials used in the loft boarding process will be of high-quality and compliant with relevant industry standards.
Ownership of Materials: All materials remain the property of LoftLogicSolutions until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to recover materials or equipment if payments are not made in full.
Waste Disposal: The Company will remove waste materials generated as a result of the Services unless otherwise agreed.
9. Liability and Insurance
Liability: LoftLogicSolutions will not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service provided.
Insurance: LoftLogicSolutions holds appropriate public liability insurance. However, the Customer is responsible for insuring their property and any contents in the loft.
Damage to Property: While all care will be taken, LoftLogicSolutions will not be responsible for any pre-existing structural defects or weaknesses that may cause damage during the work.
10. Project Duration and Delays
Estimated Timeframe: We will provide an estimated timeframe for the completion of the work. However, unexpected delays may occur due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather conditions, material shortages).
Delays: If delays arise due to factors outside of our control, we will inform the Customer promptly. Any extensions to the project duration will be discussed and agreed upon with the Customer.
11. Cancellation and Termination
Cancellation by Customer: The Customer may cancel the project at any time prior to the commencement of work, but the deposit will be forfeited. If the Customer cancels after work has commenced, they will be liable for the cost of all completed work and materials up to the point of cancellation.
Cancellation by Company: LoftLogicSolutions reserves the right to cancel or terminate the contract at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to health and safety concerns, inability to access the property, or failure by the Customer to make timely payments.
12. Force Majeure
LoftLogicSolutions will not be liable for any delay or failure to complete the work due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, war, national emergency, or shortage of materials.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the issue amicably through negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may seek alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation or arbitration.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Amendments
LoftLogicSolutions reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes prior to their next project.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between LoftLogicSolutions and the Customer regarding the Services and supersede any prior written or verbal agreements.
